Saturdays in Fairyland include a trip with daddy to the grocery store, a family sushi feast at home (restaurants don’t work for us with Ada’s sensory sensitivities AND her dietary restrictions) and music! Tonight Willa is going to see her cousin in their middle school performance of Willy Wonka. That type of outing would be overwhelming for Ada so we find ways to ensure that Willa gets those cool experiences and that Ada also gets cool experiences of her own that are comfortable for her sense of security. Logistics get very tricky but often a home visit from our music therapist, LeeAnne Miller provides that perfect balance of fulfillment for all!
These are just two examples of the constant limitations a life with PMS poses. We have learned that’s it’s ok for us to split up and do separate fun stuff that makes the most sense for everyone and to really milk the “safe places” and “safe people” who help us create safe havens for our entire
